Nelson Orton - Founder
Nelson Orton has been timing meets for nearly 10 years. As a track and field athlete at Utah Valley University he was introduced to the timing aspect of track meets. Since then he has become one of the premier timers in the state of Utah.
Nelson is now the meet director for all meets held at UVU, and is heavily involved in the timing crew for meets held at Brigham Young University. He also has timed many other highly reguarded high school invitationals in Utah, and has even traveled out of state to time meets such as the Last Chance Meet held by the University of San Francisco.
As a masters certified USATF official, Nelson has also had the opportunity to be involved in many events at the Conference and NCAA regional level. He was the head timer for the Great West Conference Championships in 2011, was as assistant timer for the NCAA Cross Country Mountain West Regionals in 2011, 2014, & 2017
He was also the head timer for the USATF Youth Utah State meet in 2013 - 2015 and for the USATF Youth Region 11 meet in 2013 & 2015. Nelson was also involved in the meet management for the WAC championships in 2014 and 2015.
